Miss Dreamsville and the Collier County Women's Literary Society (Review)

Shew is that title a mouthful or what?! That's just a small preview of the charm and humor that graces the pages of this book.

This was a very quick read with a lot of southern charm. If you are a fan of southern fiction then you are going to enjoy this book. Set in 1962 it tells the story of a new neighbor in town, Jackie Hart and her exploits. The first thing she did was start a literary society for women which raised a few eyebrows around town. 

There were only a handful of members to join the reading group but they each brought their own brand of different. The main narrator feels different in her town because she is divorced. One thing the book needed to do a better job with was explaining the reason for this because you see her husband coming to talk to her and you hear her stance on her marriage but you never really understand why or what brought her to that point. 

The book had very well fleshed out characters and some cute moments. The book read quick and was a light read but the plot could have had a little more meat on the bones. It lacks anything to really make it stand out in the genre of southern women's fiction.
